The magazine Furniture and Cabinet Makin
Hi all,
What do you people think of, or know about, the magazine “Furniture and Cabinet Making”? It is easily the most expensive magazine out there — the discounted price for a subscription is $ 74.50 for 12 issues (!!) — and as such, I have WAY high expectations for it . Though it would seem that *IF* the magazine was worth it, than I would have heard people discussing it, citing it, etc. But I ain’t heard nuthin’ ’bout it … zip … noda … zilch.
Opinions (other than perhaps that money would be better spent on tools, wood, books)?
TIA.
Btw- has anybody heard anything about how Mike K. is doing post surgically?

Hello I have had F & C sent to me since it started , now on issue 106 and I buy FWW every time its out. F & C tend to have longer articles that run over several issues .FWW costs about 30% more than Furniture & cabinet making here in the UK but I look forward to both each month, but the thing I miss most is that they don't have a web forum like FWW. LONG LIVE KNOTS ....One thing I do know is that lovers of wood and woodworkers will always find friendship and help from each other . regards Teabags
I took F&C for a year or more, but quit. Too many articles about moving shop to France, or making some ghastly looking thing that would only please a discriminating one eyed ex-fighter pilot.
I have been spoiled reading about all the ways to sharpen chisels, and would hate to be led astray by those Limeys.
Ah, you're supposed to sharpen them?
I do like this magazine, but do not subscribe. I make a point of reading this when I visit Barnes & Noble every few weeks. Had no idea the subcription cost was so high.
