An open letter to taunton.
We have long loved this site. A community has grown because of your initial efforts. The writing is on the wall. Prospero does not have the capability to mimic the features that Webx provided. It is the community that makes this site. Not the “guests”. Not Taunton. Not Prospero. Slowly, slowly you are isolating that community. You have provided no feedback to our requests. You have made minimal changes. Do we have to call for a moratorium in order to get your attention? To all who wish to have input on this subject, email [email protected]

Ouch. I'll admit that I griped a little bit after the changeover, but after a little bit of time I've gotten completely used to the new format.
Taunton, thanks for the nice job. I just wanted to weigh in and mention that not all of the "peasants" are revolting-- in fact, some find my appearance rather striking (get it?)

I'm with Chris.. First I don't classify myself as a pheasant. I think that has something to do with a lack of feathers and feet that don't wrap around tree limbs. I like the new board now... Just as I had said before change is always resisted at first going back to old board would be boring now.
Dang, I just noticed that once again I misinterpeted someones post (not yours Chris).. Oh well, I kinda like this response.... guess I'll just leave it and see what happens.

it took me about a week to adapt to the new navigation and get used to all the features, but now that I have I must say that I rather like the new system. In fact, I'd go a step further and say it's superior to the old platform.
Just one 'peasants' opinion, everybody has a right to one.
Sir Rodney,
It's time to get a life. Change is difficult, but all is getting back to normal again. Many of the old faces are back (though some in disguise). Tim has been responding. Good work takes time. Some of the regulars are taking offense and bitching at each other again. Life goes on.
So, Rod, old buddy, my suggestion to you is to just sit back, take a couple deep breaths, and try to relax. If that doesn't work,...go soak your head in a pail! :-)
Lovingly,
Paul
Personally, I think you were just up late watching Monty Python's movie marathon. Now I can say that I'm new, and I didn't have to deal with the 'Big Change', I just started coming here a few weeks ago. But, geez...if this is all you have to do, I think you should probably spend some more time in your shop, and less time online at 3 and 4am.
Take the advice of one of the other people who replied, slow down, take a few deep breaths. And then just for laughs, soak your head in a pail anyway.
