I just watched Norm use a dedicated benchtop machine (about the size of a small router table) to drill pockets and holes for pocket screws. Wow! It was pretty clever in that it routed the pocket with one pull of a lever and in the opposite direction, drilled a small pilot hole. In that same sense, I’d like to know if there are any other much-too-big tools out there to do small easyily-done-by-hand (or classic tools)tasks.

Just as an aside, that cute little benchtop machine comes with a healthy price tag. Doesn't he use the Porter Cable? Around $750. Kreg makes a nice one for $2,300.

You copycat!
Isn't imitation the most sincere form of flattery? Therefore .... your welcome.
FG: I should ammend my original post to include, "... much-too-costly tools..."

Another good post title would be" Doom is Coming " but I am waiting for something special to happen to use that one.
