For anyone who’s interested in some awesome woodworking Pod Casts check out the link below. Marc has done an awesome job with what he has done to date. I don’t consider myself a novice woodworker nor a master craftsmen but I still seem to learn something from each of these productions:)

Hi N Joy,
I agree with your recommendation. Marc might just be the Norm of my generation.
You'll be glad to know that we've signed on Marc as a contributor to FineWoodworking.com and we will begin airing excerpts from his podcasts on our Web site sometime in the next few weeks. I'll keep you posted.

Matt,
I think Marc's podcasts are going to be a big hit around here! That was a good call signing him on:)

We published our first Wood Whisperer video yesterday. Here's some background on the podcast, and here is an excerpt from one of his episodes -- I recommend watching it, especially for the intro.
We'll be publishing a new excerpt every week or two.

I love it. He adds some humor. I got home from a dental surgery appt last night and went thought the archives looking at his old shows. Seems like a good show. I miss the good stuff like this. DIY use to have stuff now they only have reruns and the girl that makes furniture out of steel and concrete and plastic and about everything but wood. Thanks for sponsoring it. Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
Cool site! I have never seen this guy before. DIY does not have much anymore. This is a nice addition to the woodworking chanel.com. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the heads-up. Great site and even greater shop!!
any new woodworking program is a plus considering the all shows that have been getting the axe lately or that are barely still on the air (The Woodwrights Shop, The American Woodshop, Woodworks etc...) I look forward to watching new podcast from Marc. Heck, it even makes me want to go buy a video camera and give it a try myself.
The hard part is finding companies to sponsor these shows.TPToolpig (a.k.a. The man formerly known as "Toolfreak" and "Toolfanatic")
Very true toolpig. I often wondered why State Farm Insurance stood by Roy Underhill for so long. They have nothing to do with woodworking... Is there a story behind it???
You won't find that sort of thing nowadays.
Large companies now have their own marketing folks or work with media or ad agencies. They have very specific marketing goals and know exactly who they want to reach. It's called "endemic" advertising. You won't find anybody but companies having to do with the woodworking industry doing the sponsoring.

I'm handy with video editing and filming if someone wants to start up something like this!
kummel, me and you need to go have a beer... : )
What I would be interested in is a series of podcasts with interviews of master craftsmen. It appears to me that this would be complimentary to "The Wood Whisperer" as well as "Matt's Basement Workshop". This would not require video. The cost could be minimal (Skype/VoIP a master craftsman and record the conversation); all it takes is someone with enough time and affinity to journalism (and obviously good enough understanding of woodworking to formulate sensical questions).
I'm a little late to respond but I'd be interested in publishing videos on FineWoodworking.com from anyone here who is motivated to shoot, edit, and produce their own woodworking videos.
We prefer segments that are 5 minutes or less. They can range from shop tours, to how-tos, to tours of woodworking destinations.
Anyone who is interested, send me an email at [email protected]. Like magazine submissions, we pay for Web content.

Well that's good to know.. I may give it a shot if I ever buy a video camera.

I am very impressed by this, and jealous of his current/future success.
I will say that I didn't learn allot of new info from the videos I've seen but they are sure easy to understand and I wish I saw them when I was newer to woodworking. That being said, I am sure Marc Spagnuolo could teach me allot.
