This is probably more for the Canadians in the crowd, but does anyone have anything good or bad to say about the King Industrial 15″ thickness planer. It is no doubt made in the same factory as the Delta, Jet, General International etc. machines and it looks as good as any. The price is right at about $1700 CDN. Go to http://www.rideouttool.com/catalog.htm for a picture and description. Thanks to all who respond.

Are you sure about pricing?? Here in PQ the table saw shown on the link you provided is about 1499$ CDN. So I think the price for that planer is 1299$ CDN.
As for reliability for this planer, I have no idea....sorry.
Bob,
You actually have to go to page 5 in that link to see the planer I am talking about. It has the bottom mounted motor as is slightly more expensive than the top mounted planer on the first page. Thanks anyway.
It does look similar to the GeeTec sold by Bridgewood/Jet/PM and Sunhill. I wouldn't pay that much though. I got mine from http://www.wilkemachinery.com for 895.00
Keep in mind that $895 USD is about $1450 cdn. Add in our HST sales tax and it goes to about $1550.....and there may be provincial sales tax and duty on that as well so we are pretty much talking about the same price.
