Over at my blog (http://tomsworkbench.com), I’ve posted a new weekly quick poll – where is your shop located?
If you’d like to participate, I’d be much obliged. Of course, I’ll share the results here.
Thanks for your help!

Can I vote twice? I work in my basement, but my real shop is located in my vivid imagination. :)

I just moved and the shop space I have now is 4x larger than what I had before. But for some odd reason. I keep thinking of ways to add on more space. Maybe old habbit that I can't shake??

Oh, wise one, not even LN can fill my new to me building (at least not with my wallet). :-)
I think I may be in shock, and thats why I keep everything in a corner even though I have a couple thousand more square feet available. Like a mouse that was stuck in a cage for years. Have not trusted to spread out some. ;-)
LN might also have to wait. I have two options available to me on a panel saw, new one for a good sale price, and used one for 1/2 price. I will be home in a week. Hopefully I will be making a spot for a panel saw in the new shop.
Best be careful Ben,
You might have to come outa that corner with a panel saw. It could be a new beginning! Just think of the possibilities.

I posted my reply as 'Other' but could not find a place to post my comment to 'Other'
I'll state here..
My shop is a REALLY small shop. COLD in winter and I HATE THE COLD! So I never go out there in winter.. A BUMMER! I do not work when I'm cold because I feel I am not being attentive to my work.. Just thinking of how cold I AM! I hate winter!
EDIT: I was born in Tampa Florida so maybe why I'm like that!

Put some heat out there! With my income these days it's either heat the house or the shop.. Not both. I pay for Natural Gas what my Mortgage use to be!
I'll bet being born in Tampa would make you not like the cold! :DTom Iovino

I originally had a small workshop in my basement. Then (15 yrs ago) we built a house. I have a 2 car garage and behind that I had added an insulated shop which measeure about 30 x 18. It has become my cave (wife not allowed in to clean up). It also has reduced the complaints of sawdust in the kitchen. In winter I use a kerosun heated to make working conditions bearable.
Oh about 4 feet from my house in a seperate building... 700 sq/ft of which about 475 sq/ft are heated

Garage in the winter (Indiana) and out doors in the Spring and Summer, and Fall. I built a 12x12 deck and built a full sized workbench to use there. I keep a tarp over it when I'm not using it. I love working outdoors!

When the weather is nice, you gotta love it!Just, in my case, there's too much of a chance a stray shower can pass by - that's why I just open the garage door to let the sun in! :DTom Iovino

I'm thinking about a canvas top over most of the deck. I don't open my garage doors because I closed them off for more room. The stupid car can stay outside. Its been out there for 8 years and don't have a spot of rust on it. I leave my mower out also with a cheap tarp on it, and a brick to hold it on in the wind. My mower is 20 years old and has never been indoors. Starts first pull every time.

I'm with you - my 'garage' is in name only. The last time a car saw the inside was - I dunno - 1999?Tom Iovino

I used to work outside when the temperature was 50 or above and still do on occasion, but as the body gets older the temperature must be a little higher than 50 for comfort, me thinks. Its 19 out right now.
