I am not familar with this course. I am leary of any correspondence course, though. Probaly what you could learn could be done with WW books you can buy at a fraction of the cost of the course. Just my guess.
What you can't learn from a book can better be learned OJT. And you can always post on a forum like this where someone usually has a correct, professional answer.
Just my opinion.. Good luck...

John... First I must agree with Sarge. Books, magazines and this forum will give you lots of info. Find a local woodworking club. If it is anything like the club I belong to , you will easily get a bachelors, masters and Doctorate in woodworking for free (I don't count yearly dues) and you will meet a great bunch of guys and gals who are more than willing to help you. Every meeting I go to I either learn something or help someone learn something. I get to learn from some great local woodworkers and some nationally known ones. Go to http://www.liwoodworkers.org and see what my club has to offer. The $20 dues is the best investment I can ever make.

I believe Thompson Education Direct is the old ICS (International Correspondence Schools). I don't believe mail order is a good way to learn a craft. Many state technical/community colleges have excellent programs if you want to go to school.
