Has anyone ever heard of bench dogs with a threaded hole in the top? They are briefly referenced in the last video in Season 2 of the Getting Started Woodworking series. I have searched all over and have yet to find anything like this.
Thanks

Threaded bench dogs
I've never heard of them either, but could envision some advantages to the idea. Most likely, the idea originated from someone with a wood threading kit having gone wild. ;-)
Does this help you any ?
This is sort of the thing you describe.

Remember you can always drill the dog(s) you have and use a metal threading tap to thread the wood dog. Works great. Go a bit smaller on the tap drill size. Smaller than what is usually on the tap or in a chart for that tap size. Not critical. You may want to do a practice one or two before threading your good dog.
PS: see also their other threaded bench dogs that are threaded cross wise through the dog like items.
Ah okay thanks! Sometimes it's the most challenging thing to figure out what something is called so you can find it.
Cool
At least I did one thing right today.
