Having a problem with tight bond turning gray as it dries. Have seen it on aromatic cedar, white ash, red oak. No iron is in contact with glue.
The gallon the glue came from is about year old newly opened.

when I read the headline I thought it said "tight bond turning gay". Tight bonds probably are just as common in heterosexuals...
Now on topic, I throw out glue when it hits the one year mark. Glue is cheap, not worth messing up a piece of work just to save a few pennies.
I had some turn a purply gray in paduak. I thought it was the wood. The glue was in my possession for about 6 months, no idea how old the bottle was then, is now.

I remember that there was a thread about titebond and expiration codes on the bottles. Read this link and check your bottle to see how old it is. I've used titebond extend with cedar and not had issues as you have seen. I'm a hobbyist and use to buy the gallon bottle of glue due to the "savings". I found that It mostly expired. I now buy in smaller quantities and get just enough now to do projects and if small quantities are left over, I chuck it. My bet is old glue. You could call titebond technical support(2nd link) as well, they're a good group.

If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it.
And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
