i am planning on buying a new tablesaw. I am not sure if I should get a high end contractors saw or a cabinet saw. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I have been using a 10″ craftsman saw for years and it needs to be replaced.

If you can swing it financially, the cabinet saw does have advantages. It's easier to maintain alignment, especially to keep the alighnment both with blade vertical and tilted.
