Hi Folks,
I am looking at buying a 12″ sliding compound mitersaw. I am a residential trimmer,
I have had a 12″ saw years ago when they cam out. I found they had to much deflection on the blade so I returned it right away.
I have recently learned that 12″ saws have been upgraded in the Arbor size to 1″.
What I need to know is what brand of saw others are running, what problems they have had with them, and how long they have been working with that saw.
Thanks.

Go to your local tool supplier and see what he has in stock. You will be able to touch and feel the different models out there, ask questions and tell him what kind of work your doing and he'll set you in the right direction. You will get a different answer to which is best from all who reply to you, most important, what do you like? IMO I think all sliders a very good ( except craftsman and some cheap imports). also try to buy from a place that does warranty on the tool you buy, so if there a problem you can always get it fixed when needed, and buy your accessories there also. Oh BTW, 12in. blades always had a 1" arbor. Good luck in your purchase.
have a 12" scms (dewalt 708) with a frued industrial 80 tooth
i cut prefinished solid maple and oak crown ( 6 inch) everyday and it works perfectly
fine glue line and no filler required
caulking is not a piece of trim
