Ok, now I get to let out all my frustrations
Went to the woodworking show in July/Aug in Anaheim, Calif.
I discussed with the local sales rep that I was wanting a sander and decided at the show to purchase one of theirs. In discussing it with them they said that I could buy the machine and since I was out of state, I would not need to pay sales tax. I also asked about the shipping and they said that I could get the machine either from a rep in Seatle, Wa or from Ontatio, Calif and I didn’t need to worry about shipping to Seatle.
Now 4 weeks ago I spoke with a local rep in Ontario, ca abd told them the story and they that It wasn’t a problem and I was buying “one of Timesavers machines, not theirs” They guy tried to get me to pay the shipping and it was either $244 or $288, I don’t remember which one. He check with timesavers and from my understanding, there was no problem.
So, 3 weeks ago I personally paid the Ontario, Cal distributer for the machine in person and they said the machine would be shipped the following Monday. I called the the Friday after that supposed shipping date and said it would ship the following Monday. I then calld them on them on Monday and they ask me who was paying the shipping, or something like that. I told them that this was negioated through the regional rep and timesavers was. They then called on Wed of this week and said that Timesavers has refused to pay and I would need to pat approx $450.00 extra.
Funny thing is that I flew into Southern California to pick up my truck and drive it back to Washington. And they never told me that there was a shipping issue. If there had, I probably would have taken the machine with me at that time.
If I had known, I would have bought a different machine at the show from a different Manufacturer It was alittle more costly but in the end they, costs would have been about the same
Even worse than that is that I have been buying sanding belts on EBAY in anticpation of the arriving machine. Now I have 37″X60″ sanding belts and no machine. I also sold my performax sander before leaving Calif.
These people have really pissed me off
Ok, now I feel better, or at least for now

Hey migraine, that's too bad about them screwing around like that. My boss got a 37" timesaver used this summer. Nice machine, however I noticed that they were made in Taiwan. Now it's still a quality machine but I was supprised as I thought they were made in the US. this one was used, but if it were a new machine I would think twice about paying more for a timesaver than another Taiwanese one as once you get up into the bigger machines the Taiwanese ones get to be better quality.
You need to get it in writing!
