Greetings Taunton Press readers,
I’m trying to find a maker of serious, high-quality toolbelts that are made specifically for women. Women are shaped a bit differently, typically have much smaller waistlines and are a bit more style-conscious than their male counterparts.
My wife and I have purchased an old house that will keep us in renovations for months if not years, so for her upcoming birthday, I’d like to buy her her own toolbelt (she’s always used mine with varying degrees of discomfort) in some outrageously feminine color like maybe bubblegum pink leather. There must be some manufacturer out there who either makes something like this already or can make one. Perhaps one of you fellow readers out there has heard of such a manufacturer.
I realise this is a bit of a longshot and maybe even a bit frivolous, but it seems to me that just because a woman is covered in sawdust and sweaty workclothes doesn’t mean she should have to completely relinquish her femininity.
Thanks in advance to all who might reply – dub.

Hi!
My friend Randy Hessler makes custom tool belts. They are top quality, all leather and very good pricing. Randy can be reached at 304-562-0134 or email at [email protected] Randy and his wife are very nice folks to deal with. Just mention my name when you contact him (Delbert Johnson, Jr.) Good Luck!!

What a guy! LOL.. I hope ya both have fun!
http://www.pinktoolbelts.com/ hate to make it look obvious, bro.
LOL! I may have to get one for my wife! More leather accessories? Ha.
Yup El, that is pretty obvious.
Funny that 'pinktoolbelts.com' didn't show up in my google search, at least high enough in the result set to be useful. In any case, I ordered the 11-pocket, pink split-leather toolbelt that Girlgear (owner of the pinktoolbelts.com site) makes on Feb 10 and it arrived from California at my Canadian address on Feb 21, which is an unspectacular but acceptable turnaround time for crossborder shipping - 8 American business days in all.
The quality of materials and construction seems first rate, the price was quite reasonable (about CAD$50 altogether with shipping) and Girlgear customer service was very responsive and helpful via email. All in all, I'm pleased with my transaction with Girlgear. My wife was thrilled with her gift and she has already populated it with a full set of tools (mostly mine), so I now I just need to track down some pink tools so I can reclaim mine...
Thanks for your help.
well, an excuse for new tools, right?
Thanks for the positive feedback on our Pink Tool Belts! As a matter of fact, we are working on the prototypes for single tool pouches, work gloves, work aprons and mini tool belts for girls... all in matching pink suede leather of course! Check back late summer 2005. And let me know if you have any further questions!
Thanks again...
