Chuckling over a situation at work today and thought I would share it with you.
Once upon a time the company I work for sold hardware. We still have 30 or so round point and sqaure point shovels left over in one of the back warehouse rooms.
While openly discussing ways to get rid of them with fellow employees, one of my customers suggested we advertise them as “Organic Chisel Sets”..
Oddly enough, I think it might just work… LOL……
Sincerely;
The Tool Guy

it is a pretty common technique around here to break the shovel handle to get out of doing a diggin job
so just assign the help a digging job and watch the shovels disappear.
another excuse is "This shovel handle doesn't fit my hand"

Speaking of shovels............there's a story around here about a Caltrans (CA highway department) crew that discovered that there were no shovels on the truck. They radioed in and were told that someone would bring some in an hour or so but that they would just have to lean on each other until the shovels got there.
What kind of truck is painted orange and sleeps six?.............A Caltrans crew truck. - lol
