I once read there is an annual antique tool auction/sale in Nashua, NH sometime in January or February. Anyone know about this??

There is an auction up there put on by Martin J Donnelly tools. Go to http://www.mjdtools.com for more info. There's also a bigger one in Harrisburg PA in Oct that is put on by the Fine Tool Journal. Don't know the website though
There will one in Harrisburg also April 7 & 8, 2006. Click on the following link and scroll to the bottom of the page. You will also see their plane that sold for over $100,000 bucks.

I've got a feeling this is more than just another benchmark!
I cut and pasted the article about this sale to my friend Philip Marcou, who makes superb planes in New Zealand. I've been saying to Philip for a few months that there are some interesting developments occurring in the elite tool market, and the few people who have the talent to make real collectables ought to be making, not dreaming!
I'm really pleased he is now making collector-quality planes, and he will be making more. One of my dreams is to be a future customer!
This sale makes my point, I think. There's something fundamentally attractive about great tools, made well!
