In another thread the question arose about the tools necessary to get started woodworking. My first for-sale project was a half-dozen mission tables. All I had for tools were a hammer, a square, a screwdriver, a skill saw, framing square, a 12′ tape, and a drill.
When I brought them to the gallery, the owner commented on how beautifully made they were!
Can you remember?

My first project was in Grad School, a coffee table for my new girl friend. I built it out of 3/4 ply with store bought legs...with a screw driver and a cutting board (read: hammer). What a freaking mess....but, she did marry me...what a freaking mess.
Now with $5000 thousand dollars of equipment I can edge band that sucker....lol
