They don't need a lunch room - you can eat off of the floors!
gotta wonder if the guy ever made anything....
Gosh what a shop full of nice tools - I wonder why? Rich guy get his finger in a saw or what????
Who Ever Has The Biggest Pile Of Tools When You Die Wins
I wonder why?
just speculation, I know people whose passion is their shop, rather than the objects that the shop would allow them to make - the clean obsession, the lack of stock, the admission "Alot of these tools are virtually new and hardly used at all" suggest the owner might fall in this catagory...
if I had 'a large motor coach', I'd trade him in a heartbeat...
Hoax maybe? Perhaps a little careless policing his shirt collar for lipstick? What if the offering is by his ill-humoured wife and he won't find out about it until the moving trucks arrive?
Do you think all that stuff is worth 45 G's? I don't think its even close. Heck, it's "used" now, even if it's not used. I smell the presence of big time debt. Everything from the dumping as a lump on e-bay, the unused cond., and the offer to trade for a large motor coach (which of course can be refinanced like real estate). My guess is it is someone who thought he wanted to open a business because he knew someone who did the same thing, got a small bus. loan, bought all the stuff, then decided it wasn't really what he wanted to do. Could be wrong, just a guess. Kind of fun to speculate. Wish my shop was half as clean.
......I can get a used school bus for $5000 I'll trade,... :>)

I think you would be hard pressed to assemble that collection for that amount of money - - whether it's 'worth' it would depend - if you had the cash and wanted shop equipment, it'd be a good value - if you have to borrow the money planning to pay it back using the shop, I'd suggest a different strategy - be a fast way to end up in the condition you speculate this guy might be in - -
would a financial institution consider a 'large motor coach' better collateral than this equipment? - - boggles my mind -
The way I'm doing the maths, if everyone who has contributed so far to this thread put up $5K it'd go along way to meeting the starting bid !
He may be packing it in and retiring.
The shop was cleaned up for the photo shoot.
Who ever invented work didn't know how to fish....
The free packaging and delivery wouldn't be cheap.
Good point. Very good point. Makes the whole situation even weirder. Well good luck to the guy, or gal, whatever the situation is.
David,

could I borrow $50,000 please
could I borrow $50,000 please
since you asked politely...
Ahh Yes I was going to make a comment about this yesterday on here but didn't find time. This almost seems topical of the jpg's I see posted on the net...they havethis really nice shop and nice tools....Buuuuut there is not a speck of dust in that shop I could see! I'm a good house/ shop keeper but you could do surgery on this shop floor and any of the benches. I thought the price was a little steep also but I would trade a motor coach for it in a heart beat if I had one! Just wonder how many sq. ft this shop is? And you would sure have to have a lot of free space to have it all off loaded in 8 hours. I think I would want to be there and supervise or do the packing also, but don't worry I won't be getting it guy's so it's all up to you Happy Bidding!
Just think what your wife would say bringing all that home at once, be kind of hard to hide!
