I am planning to make 20 or so DVD cases out of cedar. They will house two DVDs covering a three year history of dives our club has made. I would like to transfer a grayscale photographic image to the box’s cover. Does anyone hava a suggestion as to ways they have been successful in doing something similar? My first thought is to print the image in reverse on a laser printer and iron it onto the wood. There are probably other techniques that provide a better, more even transfer.
Thanks for any suggestions.

"My first thought is to print the image in reverse on a laser printer and iron it onto the wood." I believe this is what is generally done by scroll sawyers when transfering images. I think you can use a photocopier. There is a small hot-iron type gizmo that designed specifically for this task, which you can get in big crafts stores. Gives you more precise control than an iron does, so you can go over all the lines of the design. Sorry I don't have a link, it's on my old computer.
