traveling to Italy – woodworking shops?
I will be traveling to Italy in a few weeks – Balzano, Venice, Florence and Cinque Terre. Somewhere between the churches, museums and food, I would like to visit some woodworking places.
Any thoughts in those places?
thanks

This guy might be able to help you in some way or another. His thing is woodturning so if you go, see if you can take a bowl blank or two of something (maybe Birdseye Maple) that he isn't likely to have access to there.

No ideas about woodworking, but if you can, visit Sienna. It's simply heaven on earth, especially right after the hectic city of Florance. sigh..........
There's a little restaurant on a small street that takes off near the lower edge of the Campo, that is the best place in this heaven. Be sure to have some Vin Santo with biscotti for dessert.
I gotta go back........
If you get a chance, visit a little town about a 20 minute train ride from the cinque terra called camogli. My wife and I stayed there for a week and loved it. Its a beautiful fishing town that doesn't have many tourists at all. Plus its a short train ride to the cinque terra, and a short boat ride to Portofino. Its one of my favorite places of all time.
