I am considering buying a Trend Airshield and was wondering if anyone has an opinion. I have several questions:
How is the visibility through the shield? Does it get scratched up over time?
Is there good air flow?
Does is seal around your face to keep out dust?
Is it heavy on your head? The batteries are on the hat aren’t they, and it seems this could get heavy after a while?
Any other input would be appreciated. Are there other brands of similar types of products that anyone would or would not recommend?
Thanks.

Holler, I second your interest. I posted a similar question a few months ago asking about experiences with the trend airshield and the air cap but got no responses. As the lucky recipient of adult onset asthma, I need to improve my dust protection and I'm really interested in people's experiences with the various powered respirators. Holler has asked the right questions; anyone use one of these?
I found the slight fan noise /vibration a bit annoying. That was on their earlier generation of airshield. The thing that really annoyed me was they changed the design and it is no longer possible to get the polycarbonate clear face piece rendering the whole thing useless. The new clear piece is a different shape. As for protecting the polycarbonate they used to supply a stick on overlay that was a throwaway.(Buy lots!!!)I am now looking at belt mounted types
