I recently purchased a Trimtramp miter table from a local woodworking store recently. It uses a 7 1/4″ or 8 1/4″ circular saw that slides in a track to make miter cuts. It also can fit a router. The original price was $279 and it was marked down to $50 because it was slightly used and returned.
Did I get a good buy? Does anyone have any experience with this tool? I can still return it but before I do that or go throught the trouble (and it is trouble) to set the unit up, I’d like some feedback.
Thanks,
Chris

I have not seen the trimtramp but you description resembles a similar divice I bougt from Wolfcraft. This is a very good and simple tool with saves a lot of expensive other tools like crosscutting saw and especially the possibilitys with a router are great if you mount a square base under your router.

I was given a TrimTramp a few months ago. Haven't used it yet, but the carpenter that owned it used it on job sites. That would seem to be the environment it was designed. Not so sure about furniture making. I'm sure it has lost most of it's niche with the roll out of sliding compound saws.
