Triton Router MOFOO1KC In its current issue FWW seems to say that with this router there is no need to have a router lift. It can be moved up and down with a supplied crank from above the table and that bit changes can be made from above the table as well. I was discussing this with a friend who actually teaches a routing class at Woodcraft and he claims I misinterpreted the article. I don’t think so since I just read it again and still have the same impression. Anyone here had any experience with this router? Your feed back would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Joe

He should reread the article??? Maybe they improved the Triton, but a year ago a friend bought one and we were quite disappointed in it. The raising and lowering was awkward. The article clearly states you don't need a lift with the routers in the article, including the Triton.

I own the Triton, love it, and do not need a router lift to raise and lower it in my table...it comes with a crank that does the job for you.
