I have a triton router in my router table that needs fixed. I have been trying for eight weeks to get someone from Triton to call me back and let me know where I can get it fixed. Does anyone know of a place to get Triton routers serviced? My advice to everyone do not buy a Triton router.
Thanks for any help

Hi -- I had a problem with my Triton router in my table as well (probably the same problem -- the fine adjustment gear got stripped) and had problems getting it repaired under warranty. Evidently Triton is changing distributors in the US -- I see from their home website that they have a new agreement (announced 8-26-2011) with Kreg for US distribution and service but there is nothing yet on the Kreg web site. What I finally did was identify the broken part and order a replacement that I had to get from England. (Even with shipping the cost was under 20 bucks.) I then repaired the router myself. A good website for dismantling the router is here:

Hope that helps -- although I can't remember the UK parts supplier.

anf if that is your problem
I would order spares if the replacements are plastic

I believe Triton was originally made in Australia, and was considered by many as a real workhorse. But, I believe the company failed about a year or so ago, and was bought out (I want to say by a Swiss company, but I'm not sure). A search for "Triton routers" here and/or on The Router Forum should turn up discussions.
If they recently established an agreement with Kreg for U.S. distribution and service, I'd call Kreg directly, rather than waiting for them to update their Web site.
Maybe Mfg. down under to start
Now guess where ? Like everything else!! China.
