I’m using minwax wipe on poly for the first time to finish some bamboo plywood drawfronts. I’ve sanded to 220 and when I apply the first coat with a cotton rag it goes on nice and smooth. After waiting 3-4 hours as recommended and lightly sanding with 400 I apply the second coat. When applying this coat I find rag is sticking if I go back over any area I’ve just applied the 2nd coat to even if it is within about 10 or 15 seconds. Unless I have a lot of finsih on the rag it doesn’t go on smoothly.
Anyone have suggestions.
Thanks!

I have been using Minwax WipeOn Poly for 3 or 4 years now. You probably need to allow overnight dry time before applying next coat. I know it stretches out the finishing time, but the result is worth the extra time.
thanks
Thanks for the replies. I put on another coat tonight after waiting 24 hours with a heater cranking in the room and it went on super smooth.
