I am currently working on a kitchen that the customer speced red elm. I purchased veneer from hi tech with a PSA backing made by Avery. I am having some problems with bubbles. They will stay down for awhile but always seem to pop back up. I used a metal roller and most everything else came out fine except for a few trouble spots. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Veneer bubbles are usually the result of insufficient glue between the veneer and the substrate. The best fix I know of is to drill tiny (1/32") holes at the edges of the bubble and use a hypodermic syringe to inject glue into the void. Use just enough glue to get some leakout at your holes, then cover the bubble with waxed paper, a cawl, and some weight (or use a clamp).
When the glue has dried, use a scraper to clean up the repair and sand lightly.
hi first problem is the psa backing they suck! try to heat the glue with an iron on low that may get rid of them, but next time get your veneer from oakwood veneers they arev the best.good luck
