Grandchildren are coming in bunches. Have urgent need to conserve space. does anyone know of a plan for a twin sized trundle bed. I believe that is the correct term – where there is a pullout bed under a regular twin size bed.

Mike:
I am looking for the same, but in my case, the bed is for my children. I am most interested in material suggestions, as I am fairly new to wood working and have almost exclusively used solid wood. Will plywood do the trick for sides? Size?

*I know that Norm on the NYW has one, fact, I just watched it. It looks decent enough. I too am going to be building one, but am thinking that I might try it with heavy duty drawer slides.
Mike,
I purchased Norms plan and built the trundle bed for my daughter. Instuctions were easy and it was fun to build. It holds me 240lbs, my wife and my daughter in it while we read books on some nights. Enjoy!
