So, I have a customer who wants to consign a retro entertainment center, but she doesn’t know the maker!
Here is what she does know:
It was purchased as a custom piece for $3,000.00 in 1978 in Las Vegas, NV- the customer was from Lake Havasu.
She thinks the store was run by brothers.
Only two of the entertainment centers were made, one is oak, the other in redwood.
She had a picture but left with it, so bear with me: It is approx. 8′ long and a little over 6′ high. 3 levels of shelves, 2 low and a larger space for a T.V. with an overhang at the top. The most distinctive feature of this entertainment center is the ‘fan’ details on the sides. There are 4: two on the sides coming from the bottom corners outward and 2 on the top going straight up. They are made from long, thin pieces of wood laid out just like an old hand fan would be.
Any ideas?

research what?
What is she trying to research, and with what objective? The names of the makers? Does she want another made?
The local library or historical society may have old phone books that would show cabinetmakers of that time period.
