RIP CUTS ON MY CRAFTSMAN PROFESSIONAL 10″ CONTRACTER SAW ARE SUBJACT TO BURNS AND SERIOUS ROUGHNESS. THE BLADE IS NOT PARALLEL TO THE MITER SLOT–OFF .009 inches. THE FENCE A ALIGN A RIP XRC is way out OF PARALLEL WITH THE MITER SLOT.
REGARDING THE BLADE TO SLOT I CANT SEEM TO MOVE THE TRUNION IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION DESPITE LOOSNING THE FORE AND AFT BOLTS.
REGARDING THE FENCE EVERY TIME I ADJUST IT AS BEST I CAN, IT Pops out of LINE WHEN THE LOCKING LEVER IS LOCKED.
IS THERE SOMETHING I CAN DO TO CURE THESE PROBLEMS. IS THE EQUIPMENT A DOG?
BY THE WAY DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO BY THE OFFSET HINGES ON THE TALL CLOCK DESCRIBED IN THE MOST RECENT FWW
THANKS FOR INFO

Do a google search for offset hinges. They are also called swingaway hinges.
Return the saw if it is new.If you must align the trunnion and the bolts do not have room to shift, you can do one of two things. If it is possible, ream the holes in the trunnion housing. If not possible to do this, then determine which way the trunnion must move, and about how far. Reduce the size of the bolt by filing or grinding at the point it hits the housing.
