I just watched the video showing the underground workshop in Canada. Does anyone have any ideas how the gentleman gets large stuff in and out of his shop?

Large hinge on one end, hidden by gutters?
Hinged roof? :)
We were in MO recently visiting my family while staying with my brother and SIL in their new house. He wants to get into woodworking in his basement and has much the same situation. The only access to the basement is thru the dining room and living room to a somewhat narrow set of steps to the basement.
We made some shelving units while I was there and had to cut the sheet goods while they hung off of the tailgate. The lumber went in thru a basement window. He hasn't given much thought to dust collection, but I suspect that my SIL will force that issue pretty soon. She wants to store lots of "stuff" on shelving down there and not keep it in totes. I doubt if fine layers of sawdust are gonna be ok for very long. - lol
