Beautiful!
But it doesn't go with my curtains.
I followed your pre-post with interest. Now I have seen the finished piece, The people who ordered it and then tried to get out of it should have their shins kicked!! A very nice job well done.
Thanks for your reply. Im sorry I don't have a photo of better quality to post. It really is a beautifull unit to see in person.
Take care
Dale
Got it. Thanks.
I'm dealing at the moment with some folks who want to pay me and then decide what they want later...all kinds of difficult clients! <G>
A stately and elegant piece of work. Best of luck with finding it a good home. I hope you consider my suggestion of offering to sell it for the customer for a 20% commission...that may leave you both with a better taste in your mouths.
Thats a beautiful piece. That confirms my thought thatthese folks just either dont want to pay full price or are having some money problems or both. Cuz man that is a nice piece.

Thanks for your reply Ron. A thought that I have had is since this unit was built for a 36" tv that they planed on buying my be outdated soon. They may have decided to put the money into a new wall mount plasma unit and be the first on the block to have one. Some people I have talked to feel this may be a more true answer of why they declined the unit. I can just hear the video salesman telling them why invest $5,000 into old technology when you can have the latest and greatest for the same price that all their friends will envy. Oh well, it is a leason learned.

very nice piece.
When you have some more photos post one or two in The Gallery.
Thanks Ian
I will get some better photos that show more detail and post them.

Well shame on them if that's the case. Hopefully they're dumb enough to believe that the plasma screen is 'wireless' like in the commercials. Then they'll findout that they have to go back and shell out another $500 for the HDTV box and another $500 for a good wall mount system. Then they'll hire some uninsured hack that will screw'em on the install and knock over their 200 gal mini reef aquarium, killing all the fish and the Persian rug. Then in '06 when all TV's have to have HDTV receivers built-in and their $900 extended warranty has just run out the plasma screen will melt down. Meanwhile you'll be buying a better second or third generation plasma screen for less than half of what they spent. These things have a way of working out, you'll see :).John O'Connell - JKO Handcrafted Woodworking

Love your brand of optimism!
Reading this kind of lifted my spirits. I could just imagine this happening except for the Persian rug and the reef aquarium. My wife also had a laugh.
Thank's
Dale
Karma is tough to beat. I have days where I swear I must have been an ax-murderer in a former life :). Stuff like this will happen, it's pretty hard to cover it in your overhead. Hopefully it will sell.John O'Connell - JKO Handcrafted Woodworking

Yep I think If it is the case.. I know it will happen cuz I believe, What goes around comes around.
At Darkworks Customer satisfaction Job One..Yea yea were all over it , I got my best guys on it.........
i always try to get the client to agree to an opening for a television the next size up from what they think they might put in. this adds forethought to the mix, and you can up the price a little, for the extra materials.
that is an awesome cabinet.
If you can't sell it to that other person sell it on Ebay.
Jack the asking price to 50% more then set min bid close to what you agreed to build it for in the first place. Use words like heirloom quality in the ad. liminted production, sugusted retail of $$$$, Get some good pics of the piece.
This was the piece that was rejected as is? You have grounds for full payment IMHO The clients should have to deal with any re-sale and be held to the original contract...Pike..

Yes, the photo is of the actual piece as is. It does look much richer in person. This is the only photo I have ready at this time. Thank's for your interest and reply.
