OK experts. Has anyone done this?
Clamping to the right side of my Unisaw is a pain. I’m wondering if anyone has bolted a piece of angle iron to the right side of the table. There are drilled and tapped holes in the side for a wing. The top of the angle iron would be almost flush with the top of the table and the lip would be a good place to clamp on. The fence protrudes such that the angle iron would not be a hip bruiser.
Any comments? Other suggestions?

What is it that you want to clamp and for what purpose?
Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
A feather board for instance.

The Unisaw fence can be flipped around and used on the other side...
This is why they call it a Unisaw.
When using a feather board on the left with the fence on the right, a clamping "ledge" would be helpful.A bad day woodworking is better than a good day working -- yes, I'm retired!
Well there are lots of feather boards out there that use the convienent miter slot, but I guess you know that. So I assume that you are talking about clamping a feather board when the board is too wide for the miter gauge slot. In those cases I use board buddies. In particular when cutting plywood. They really do work and you don't have to reset them for every different width board because they dont use the edge of the board/ plywood. Oh yea, I forgot I use it so often that I consider it part of the saw.... a grip tite (or is it grip rite) Well it is a magnetic feather board and will hold anywhare on the saw.
Mikeplease excuse my spelling.
All good ideas but the saw also serves as a table for some operations and I still would like to be able to clamp. And yes, I do sometimes need to use a feather board on boards that are too wide for the miter slot.
Just seemed like a simple idea that might work.
