Would anyone out there happen to have a cast iron extension wing (27″x10″) for a Delta Unisaw they would consider selling?
Regards, Earl

It would help to know what area you are in as shipping costs could be a bugger. You might consider filling out that part of your profile.

Hi,
I took your advice and updated my profile. I live in Anniston, AL.
Regards, Earl
I have an extra pair but I think the packaging and shipping from western WA would be prohibitive.
Thanks for updating your profile!!

You might call Redmond and Son Machinery in Atlanta and see what they have around loose they would sell. I have an extra front rail but not an extension. And put a classified on several of the forums as you just never know who has got one collecting dust.
Sarge..
Thanks for the tip Sarge, I' familiar with Redmond and I should have thought of them first. By the way do you know if they got rid of their Rockler shop? I see no reference to it in their website.
Earl
Ha.. ha... Posted and it went to space. I am not sure on Rockler as I have not been down to the new smaller facility. Very possible to cut cost as machines sales transportation has sky-rocketed and it is going to affect them.
I would call and ask about the extention and Rockler. And BTW.. if you go to IWF next month... drop by the Steel City booth and ask for Sarge any day. Would love to say hello in person...

Hi Sarge,
I checked with Redmond today and spoke with one of the family who said he had a load of extension wings. Thanks for the tip. I asked about their Rockler shop and it didn't go with them when they moved to Newnan. They couldn't get enough foot traffic to justify it and the location off Camp Creek Parkway was just too out of the way for their customer base. I'll head out there in a couple of weeks.
On another note, I found out today that Wilke machinery has shut down. It may be old news but I was wondering why their website was dead in the water. I've got 2 machines from them but I read there is some parts support still out there.
Thanks to all that answered my question. As is usual, a good experience in Knots.
Regards, Earl
I figured they would, Earl. They were out of the way for foot traffic off I-20 for most on the north side, but I went anyway on occasion. Newnan is even farther for me @ around 60 miles one way as I am on the N.E. side of town in Gwinnett.
Curt Wilke shut down Wilke Machinery a year or more ago. I have the very last Industrial floor morticer he had. He offered me the $2100 beast for $800 and I told him to put it on a truck and send it. I bought one of the last 3 York-craft 20" planers not long before that.
But.. Curt still has part for both even though the Yorkie planer is identical to the Grizzly and part inter-change. The Bridge-wood floor morticer is the same as the Grizzly Industrial for $2195 also with the exception the BW has single phase with a 1 HP instead of 2 HP as the Grizzly.
If you need parts Curt is now operating under a new name. He also carries Power-matic-Jet.. Steel City.. etc. etc. The new website is as follows: http://www.chwilke.com but not fully functional yet. He's been working on it awhile. If you need parts just call Curt at C. H. Wilke, Inc. 717-794-5000.
Just tell him "Sarge" in Atlanta sent ya.. he'll know me.. :>)
Regards and hope to see ya at IWF.. drop by the Steel City booth # 6429 and ask for "Sarge". They'll know me. I will be the one that actually has saw-dust all over my Steel City official attire. BTW.. the attire is warranted for 5 Years as I specifically asked. ha. ha... ha..ha..ha..
Sarge..
More networking: If there are some lumber milling outfits around your area, find out who services their machines (planers and such). Let that person/those people know what you're looking for. I got a pair of cast iron wings for my Jet saw from the repair guy in our area for $60 a few years ago. They had been sitting in his storage room for some time.

Cloned wing is $89
have you tried going to the Delta site?
they have just about every single component available for purchase separately as replacement parts.
