UNISAW UPGRADE to 50″ unifence & table b
It is a very low milage 1985 right tilt with original tube rails and fence but found an unused (old) Unifence in the attic—NO RAIL–and the Uniguard / pull up splitter set.
I have acquired the following. A 50″ Unifence rail, the extended Delta rolling base, a Bies 44″ table board(no mounting hardware at all), two HTC table legs, a fold down HTC 48″ roller off feed, the Delta DC fitting to go on the rear baseboard cutout and probably the last hinged metal motor cover with gaskets in their inventory.
PROBLEMS.
Can I use a ply sub base to raise up the saw base for the DC fitting to clear the edge of the rolling base and extend the table legs as required or just cut a new hole?
What hardware do I need to install the table board. I don’t have the Delta online address with me (just installed a new PC in the new digs).
Does the short right wing need to be removed?
Already cleaned, lubricated, adjusted and rebelted this 3 hp. honey. Thankfull for any tips & info. Paddy

You may have purchased the last motor cover Delta had because John Webber purchased the rest of them and sells them on payBAY for $49.95. I picked up a couple as spares.
Cut a new dust chute, that tiny slot is useless.
DJK, then I guess that I have to get that 5" plastic flanged DC fitting and put a false floor in the base with RTV or construction silicone while I have her apart (tops off and unmounted motor cover). Thanks, Pat
For the floor of the saw: tip it upside down and remove the base. Then cut a sheet metal pan the size of the cabinet and drill holes and reattach the base with the new pan between the base and cabinet. That's the way delta did it since 1940. My '42, '48 and '55 Unisaws have the factory installed pan but I had to make one for my '58.DJK
Dave, brilliant solution as I was designing all kinds of wild solutions, thank you, thank you, thank you. Paddy
UPDATE.
Dave, $20 for a 24x30 galvanized 26ga. one metal splinter and 3 nicks later(I hate cutting sheet metal-naw I don't need no stinkin golves) using the left and straight snips and punched the 8 holes with my Whitney#5jr. The factory only used 4 carriage bolts as the base was sprung 1/32 so I lined it up with a tapered drift punch and she is tight, solid and square.
Dropped her in the Delta rolling base for the 50" Unifence and will relocate the low voltage box on the back down by 3" to accomodate the HTC 48" off feed roller mount. I ordered the hardware kit and rear angle support for the 44" Bies work table and will use the HTC table legs. I have to still figure out if I can or should leave the 7" right wing on and where best to put the DC fitting- either lower rear or under the motor cover? Any thoughts?
The Amazon prices were a very great saving over DELTA, even with the costs for the mounting hardware. Thanks again, Pat
