unisaw value?

Looking at a Delta unisaw (right tilt, 3 hp, 36-812) that has been in storage for some time. It has some rust on the arbor threads, only has a 30″ unifence (It also only has a left side cast extension table. The right side is laminate extension only). Doesn’t look like it has been used much. The guy is hoping to get $1000 for it (curently availalbe for $1550 new with a 5 year warranty). In my (very limited) research I have found similar units sold for much less ($500 – $700). What would be a fair price for such a saw? I am thinking around $600 but doubt he will go that low. I would much rather have a left tilt saw with a 50″ or 52″ fence but my shop is small and would be very tight with the longer rails. I am dreaming of a powermatic 66 but will wait till I move to a bigger shop and have more $$$ to invest in tools.

I think $600-700 should be a good price range. I just rebuilt a 1953 Unisaw that didn't have the wings & no fence & a 3 phase motor I had to change to 1 phase. I purchased it for $250 final cost with50" fence about $900.

$600-700 would be a fair price but I'm not sure how hard it's going to be getting use to a right tilt if your use to a left.
