Have tried to upload a jpeg file to one of my responses but it does not seem to work. I went to the “Attach files” found the file and hit upload. After the “hour glass” (while it’s uploading) went away I hit the done button. Well it did not work can anyone tell me how to do this attachment process? The file was only 78k.
Best Regards,
Terry

Sounds like you did everything correct. Try again and if you continue to have problems, go to the Sandbox:

Good luck!

Tim a couple of times no luck.
BG,
Terry
Tried again to upload and now all I get is
HTTP/1.1 500/ Server Error
Any suggestions.
Terry
Terry, this problem is being addressed in the "Sandbox" area. Do you know how to get there? I got the same server error mssg. on Friday.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
I am fairly new here and would like to post some pics. Where is the sandbox? and does it instruct me as to how I upload to the site? Thanks.
Hi Mark, here's the link to the Sandbox:
http://forums.taunton.com/tp-thesandbox/start
You might want to bookmark it -- Propspero doesn't having a link to it on the regular Knots page.
As far as posting pics goes, assuming you just want to provide them as an attachment, when you've finished composing your post, go to the bottom of the composition box and look below it. You will see a button "Attach Files" click on that and follow the instructions.
I don't know if they've fixed whatever the problem was with attaching files, so if you get an error, I guess they haven't.
Remember: It takes awhile for posts to get absorbed and show up (maybe 30 seconds or so) so if you click too quick to find your post it might not be there yet (in the beginning we used to see a lot of double posts from people, pretty funny).forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
I do not have an attatchment button. I have Post, Preview, Spell Check and Cancel. I wonder what gives?
There is a link to The Sandbox near the top-right corner at the first page after you log in, just above the Current Issue link, on all 5 of Taunton's sites, like this one, for instance: http://forums.taunton.com/tp-knots/ It took me a while before I realized it was hiding there.
Be seeing you...

To All,
Well it seems that the folks over at Fine Homebuilding are having the same problem with uploading pictures.
If you go to the following address at Fine Homebuilding there is an article on "How to create a photo essay" using another web site by Canon.
http://forums.taunton.com/tp-breaktime/messages?msg=19126.1
I have used this web site to put up pictures of other items and it is free. You get 50mb of space. The gentleman writing the artciles has a list of steps you can follow to get there and sign up and how to do it.
The web site to go to for Canon is:
http://hperphoto.photoloft.com/canon.asp?s=cano
This site will even write the HTML code for you so you can put it as part of your Post and not have to worry about Prospero Tech.
So it is worth a trip to the message site if nothing else will give a good place to put all those pictures for everyone to see not just the forums.
Terry
Some of it plus the rest of it equals all of it.

Yep, I know about that link. Problem is, when people are having problems within the specific forum, and especially if they're new here, they usually seem to have not a clue where to go. Oh well.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
