Have wide board cherry floors (finished with Watco Floor Oil), and a new puppy. You guessed it — puppy urine has left a dull/flat stain. Any suggestions on how to remove before refinishing????

Sand until you find fresh wood.
*Is it black? You might try bleach. When we had our floors refinished we found areas where the dogs had left their marks. We had to choose a slightly darker tone for finishing because they could not lighten the spots enough. Are you going to protect them more with poly this time?
