US Domino users–do you use metric rulers?
I recently got a Domino and my head is spinning from thinking in mm then in inches for joinery (“am I working in fractions or decimals? how big is this actually?”. Do you use a metric ruler, don’t measure at all, or just get used to switching in your brain?
Thinking about getting a metric rule for my Starrett.

I use test cuts and spacers, I rarely measure for a domino except if I want a certain spacing, and even then the marks are just center tics for lining up the machine on the stock.
I'm with MJ. If I want the domino in the center of the board edge, I just eyeball it. Then make sure I'm registering from the same face when I drill on the adjoining board edge. For me the dominos are all hidden, so why stress about metric conversion.
The hard way - measuring at 3/4" at a time. 18mm=3/4". Or, get a ruler with imperial on one edge & metric on the other. EagleAmerica.com has them.

I'm not sure how this is relevant to the Domino but I do use the metric system as well as inches and feet and also inches and feet divided into 1/10 inch. However, I don't intermix them except when absolutely necessary. I decide ahead of time which system I'm going to use on a project and stick to it all the way through. My favorite is inches and feet divided into 1/10 inches and I have a tape and several rules so divided. They are a bit hard to find.
I am used to the metric system at work but all my woodworking measuring tools were imperial. I struggled with the Domino until I got a 15mm Starrett (= almost 6inch) ruler for my combo square. So much simpler with the metric scale
