Apparently the forum things use of proper English is spam. This post has been reformatted to deal with that:
I hand plane lot. It make big pretty curls. Wife want know what do with them. She not like my idea of burn them. Any better idea of use?
Some ideas are micro-veneers, packing material, dip in finish and dry as ornaments, thin inlays. Any other ideas?

interesting. Until I got the Devine blessing here I found I could not put more than one exclamation or question mark together , like this ?????? Or !!!!!!!, without triggering the gotcha.
Bless your wife's heart ! I get so @&$#% tired of breathing wood smoke, especially in the winter, when there isn't enough oxygen as it is. Especially in the city and especially while riding my bicycle to work. We live up a hill and the folks below burn crap, not even hardwood, which isn't that bad, and then we can't even open our windows on a warm winter day to air out the house for all the smoke. Silly rabbits.
Nope I have to just send my shavings to the land fill. At least the carbon is locked up instead of added to the atmosphere.
You could look into composting them.
Beware : some animals get sick from exposure to certain wood shavings e.g., horses can not tolerate walnut shavings. Could be a problem in a garden for humans. I don't know.
Make paper ?
Another idea
How about splitting them lengthwise into 1/16" strips, and making your own pads for an evaporative cooler? ;-)
Packing material and kindling would probably be my two top options, though. Next might be material for scented "potpourri" containers for the bath.
I would suggest researching the composting options, as some woods might also kill the little bugs that do the real work in the compost pile.
Yah not the compost pile
>woods might also kill the little bugs that do the real work in the compost pile.<
God you are right. I wasn't thinking.
For packing I was thinking oooh what a mess of dust when one takes the item(s) out.
Just not much good. Burning it , at best, it is just going to be a flash and gone. Not like it is going to make glowing embers.
It makes for a useful fire starter. It helps the kindling burn.
Compost works, depending on the wood. Walnut is going to kill everything though, but it is a great weed killer.
I asked a few other friends for input. Other ideas I have received so far, repeating some of the above, are as follows:
* Paper - soak in a 1 part glue 4 parts water mix, while soaking put a sheet of saran wrap and duct tape over a flat board, take soaked curls out and lay over the saran wrap, put another board wrapped in saran wrap to hold it all flat, let dry, enjoy hand made wood paper.
* Ornaments - dip in a resin as-is, pull a bit into an interesting shape, let hang to dry, add a string.
* Ornament Laminate - take a christmas ball, soak curl as for making above, then wrap curl around ball tightly, wrap saran wrap around that to hold in place (or tack down with hot glue), wait until it dries.
Any other ideas?
I asked the forum masters for the seal of approval. Apparently I am now allowed to use complete sentences. I did not have strings of punctuation in my previous post, I still do not know why it choked on it.
