I have a 16 ounce bottle of Behlen Qualarenu. Bought years ago, not sure why. First two ingredients listed are Methanol and Ethanol. The stated use is to restore old cracked and crazed solvent based finishes. At this point I’m unlikely to use it for that purpose, and I don’t do any work on old furniture. Are there other uses possible ? I’m not a chemist so these things confuse me a bit.

Depending on what else is in there, you can use it to thin shellac. Alcohol makes a good cleaner before adhering new PSA sanding discs.
