Just wanted to know if anyone can give any tips on using a set of matched rail and stile bits. This is going to be my first time and would appreciate any tips or description of the entire procedure. The bits did not come with any instructions so I will be winging it. How is the initial height of the bit determined? Does the second bit then go in at the exact same height? Thanks for any comments.–Jay

Jay,
The best quick intro I can give you is in the CMT router bit catalog. You can find it and read with Adobe Acrobat. Here are the links. You'll locate it on page 84.
http://www.islandsaw.com/pdf-cato.htm
Scroll down to the section with rail and stile bits and download or view online (ie, the next link)
http://www.islandsaw.com/pdf/Pag68-87.pdf
scroll down to page 84. There it is!
Hope this helps a little. Good luck.
Scott
*JayAs Scott suggested read CMT's tips (online or in the catalog), however I recommend doing the ends of the rails first as any end grain tear-out is easier to control when the edge of the rail is still square. FWIWDon
*Thanks for the advice guys, it turns out that I have the CMT catalog with those instructions. I didn't realize that it had instructions.-Jay
