Hello,
I am planning and designing a wall paneling job.
I have not yet decided on the finishing.
Some walls will be lit by bright light and even sunlight, caused by very large windows.
I am afraid there will be a problem with ultraviolet light.
Is there a way to protect the paneling from the UV-light?
Thanks and merry Xmas.
Tony

boat builders who make cedar strip canoes use a polyurathane that blocks out the UV light. UV breaks down epoxy quickly. might help to get in touch with some canoe builders.

I prefer Z-spar (I think Pettit now) Captain's varnish. It is bit soft, but it does stop UV.
You might put your UV control on the windos instead.
Tony,
I'm with George.
3 years ago I built a Chesapeake 17LT sea kayak (stitch and glue construction). It is epoxy impretgnated okoume 4mm plywood. Marine varnish is used to protect the epoxy from UV breakdown. My favorite is also Z-Spar (Petit?) Captain's varnish. I have been using it for 18 years on my sailboat. One year I tried another "highly rated" marine varnish and went back to Z-Spar the next year.
