I’M INTERESTED IN WEB SITES OF INFORMATION ON BUYING USED TOOLS. AS AN EXAMPLE A GOOD FRIEND LENT SOME MONEY TO A WOODWORKER WANNA BE BUT HE DIDNT PAYUP SO MY FRIEND IS THE PROUD OWNER OF A 24″PLANER AND 12″ JOINTER. HE IS WILLING TO SELL HIS 15″ DELTA PLANER BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS WORTH NEITHER DOES HE. WHERE CAN WE GET SOME GOOD ESTIMATES? MERT

there aren't any "blue book" guilds for tool values out there..
however Retool has a policy about currant model tools (another words can you go out and buy one just like it?)
If in perfect working order and complete ready to rock and roll (blades sharp cords good all parts included..
40% of market price.. no, not what you paid for it, but what it's available at places like Toolcrib of the north and other discounters..
deduct if things need sharpening, deduct if things are missing and deduct if not clean and fresh looking.. (paint spills, scratches etc.)
thanks for the info that is what i needed mert
I'm with Monsignor Francais, I won't pay over 50% of new cost even for used in primo condition. If you hang around ebay very long, neither will many other people.
