My Bosch 6″ random orbit sander has an adapter to 2.5″ shop vac hose which is almost 100% effective at collecting sanding dust. Need a new 5″ ROS and hope to find reasonably priced sander that can be similarly connected to my shop vac. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi Don:
Bosch makes an excellent 5" ROS, the 3725 DVS. I bought mine a couple of years ago for about $100.00
Good luck and be safe

I have a PC with a smaller 1" dust port. I just slide on a step-adapter (available all WW stores) and can connect to a Shop-Vac 1 1/2" smaller vac or the bigger 2 1/2" Vacuum.
What I guess I'm saying is, get the ROS you prefer as long as it has some size dust chute. The step adapter will handle any up or down-sizing on the dust set-up..
Good Luck...

Yep, I agree with Sarge. Find a ROS you like and use a step adapter. I happen to own a ryobi w/ a 1.5" port connected to a small 2 gallon shop vac (dedicated, and very portable). Works great. Brian
