My wife and I will be flying into <!—-><!—-> <!—->Cleveland<!—->, <!—->OH <!—-><!—-> in late June. From there we will be driving to <!—->Buffalo<!—->, <!—->NY<!—-> then on to <!—->State College<!—->, <!—->PA<!—-> and return to <!—-><!—->Cleveland<!—-> <!—-> in mid July. I am interested in wood oriented attractions and my wife’s hobby is fabric, especially quilting. Any suggestions for sightseeing along the way will be appreciated.

Hey BOB...I'm in state college PA! Just graduated and loving it! Not much here in the way of wood oriented stuff unfortunately, but I heard just recently that there's a grizzly shop (retail, one of 3 in USA) in Williamsport. Perhaps you guys can check that out on the way here?
i don't know if this would qualify as an attatraction or not but hartville ohio is a very neat place. i have only been to the hardware store but have heard the other places are nice. it definately can become an all day affair. they are right next to each other. from cleveland i think its about 1-1/2 hrs but don't quote me on it.

I would not miss an opportunity to drop into the Stickley factory (http://www.stickley.com/index.cfm) in Manlius, NY, or Falling Water (http://www.paconserve.org/index-fw1.asp) in Mill Run, PA.
If you're looking for a side trip, try the Stickley Museum in Parsippany, NJ (http://www.stickleymuseum.org/)
There are also a couple of Shaker homesteads/museums along your route.
Regard it as just as desirable to build a chicken house as to build a cathedral.

Rennie,
Thanks for the info. After seeing the video, I'd really like to tour the Stickly factory, but tours are only available on Tuesdays. Have to see how that will fit in.
