Value of a Rockwell 10″ Unisaw 34-461
Hello everybody! I joined the forum hoping to get some advice from woodworking fanatics as my father was. He just passed away and left my mother with several machines in the garage one of which is a Rockwell 10″ Unisaw 34-461. I would like to sell it for my mother since she could use the money and the machine will not be used. However, my father loved his machines and I want to do him right by selling it to somebody that will appreciate it and take care of it the way he did. Can you guys tell me approximately what could be the value of this machine? It has the fence as well and the whole thing is in great shape. Please let me know what factors might affect the price or if you need additional information to help me out.
Thank you in advance,
Jose

Prices can vary sustantially by geographic region, in addition to condition, etc.. As such, your best guide for pricing may be local Craig's List listings, or eBay. The range for the older Unisaw can be from $300-$400 up to $1,000, or so, depending on those factors. You might want to try to find a local experienced woodworker to assess the condition for you, since many of the potential condition issues aren't obvious to the casual or inexperienced viewer.
Value
What Ralph said plus some detailed pictures will help. By the part number I'm guessing it is a very late 60's or maybe even 1970 which is a good thing, USA Made. But 1/3 to 1/2(tops) the price of a new comperable saw would be a good starting place.
