While looking at the Tage Frid article on this website, I noticed a mahogany cabinet (page 2, down at the bottom) that has frame and panel doors. The raised panel appears rectangular, but the raising angle seems to vary. It goes from shallow at the top to steep in the middle, back to shallow again.
Any ideas on how to get raise a varying angle on a panel? I was thinking either a complicated jig on the bandsaw or just some good old-fashioned spokeshaving.
I was also wondering how the edge of the panel would fit in to the frame grooves. Any input would be appreciated.

Jay,
I pulled out the issue that you mentioned for a closer look. As near as I can tell the bevel on the panel side is done on a radius. I don't know how Frid did it, can only tell you how I would do it. E-mail me at my personal e-mail address and I will tell you how.:)
