I have some shelf units and cabinet units with red birch veneer which is peeling. The units are 6 years old. They were finished with Danish oil. I ironed it back on but it peeled again. Anyone have a suggestion short of removing the units and re-veneering?

Do you know what glue was used?
Lee
Unfortunately, I don't know what kind of glue was used. I have a guessing game on my hands. I'll try the ideas of injecting some yellow glue and cross my fingers.
Thanx to all.
Take a look at DIY's website and see David Mark's last show about tricks. It's available on streaming video.
He has a very small hand drill, and put two holes on either end of the bubble. Then shoot glue in on one hole and then press out the extra yellow glue. Cover with waxpaper and a brick and it should stay.
You can also slit the veneer with a razer blade and add more glue. The veneer was likely starved of adhesive and thus the bubbles. It happens sometimes and it is a good trick to know how to fix. I wipe down my fresh lay ups with water to raise any starved areas. I'm always happy when I don't find any!
