Can I build a ventilation system for furniture finishing? I am a hobbiest and have just built a small work shop over my garage. I’ve looked at spray booths online and they are either huge for professional use or too small (i.e. for model builders).

HI,
Just made a cheap portable booth. Bought plastic that comes in 8 foot by 100 feet rolls. Clamped it to floor joists in shop ceiling, and cut hole for my air cleaner. Worked great for $10 total. Was only spraying water based poly.
Fww had a article on a knockdown booth by Jeff Jewitt. He says keep it simple and spend your money on a good fan.
You should be able to find it if you scan the fww index.
If i can help, let me know.

Thanks Stevo....I was thinking about using plastic sheeting to prevent overspray in the rest of the shop (which is being used for my many interests). I was wondering about venting it outside -- and trying to figure out how elaborate of a system I need.
