A friend of mine recently removed vintage chestnut and heart pine boards from the attic floor of a house built in 1762. She is looking to market it and would like some help in finding individuals that may be interested in purchasing them. Here are details:
Chestnut:
228 bd-ft
Average width of the 52 chestnut boards = 12”
Thickness = ¾”
Heart Pine:
340 bd-ft
Average width of the 60 heart pine boards = 9.8″
Thickness = 1”
Chestnut: 32% of the boards are under 4′ in length (17/52)
Pine: 3% of boards are under 4′ in length (3/60)
Photos are of boards that were planed to expose the grain. Remaining boards are in original rough sawn condition.
