   In addition to Plywood & Plastics, Steve Wall Lumber is down the road (U.S. 220) in Mayodan, NC, just across the state line by a few miles. It's about an hour and a quarter drive, one way.

   Really great prices on stuff like mahogany, good folks to deal with.

   If the drive to Charlottesville isn't too far, I can recommend Northland Forestry Products.  They've had a great selection of all domestics in just about any thickness and often stock wide boards.  (When's the last time you saw 12 inch wide Walnut with no sap wood?)  They also have some occasional specials on shorts (<6 feet).  They are 2 minutes off I 64 at the Zion Crossroads exit. 434-589-8213 is the their phone number.
